Holly
has always been drawn to helping people in a therapeutic
capacity. She started as a nursing student at UNM (Albuquerque),
but it wasn't until she began her study of Chinese Medicine that she
found a true calling. She completed her acupuncture and herbal
diploma in 1990 at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in
Santa Fe, New Mexico, which included an overseas program in Beijing,
China.
Her practice has included a broad spectrum of
ailments/populations including the common cold/flu, chronic fatigue,
gynecological concerns, musculoskeletal issues, high blood pressure,
emotional imbalances, stress, cancer survivors, HIV patients, diabetes,
allergies, and digestive disorders. She believes there is a
great range of application for Chinese Medicine and deliberately
continues to avoid specialization in any given area. By staying
generalized versus specialized in her approach, she feels she can help
more people rather than less, and also maintains the
complementary balance to Western Medicines's specialized
approach to health care.
Holly is a strong proponent of
"patient repsonsibility" and encourages active participation in
their own healing process. She enjoys educating her patients and
providing information that they can utilize on their own. |
