While the tastes at Bacaro may be new to your palate, the skillful hands that prepared them have been cooking for decades.

Cristina Sartori and Dante Medri met in Santa Barbara California where they worked in Los angeles at Ca'Brea and Farfalla restaurant, respectively. In 1992 they moved to Aspen, and the next year they opened their first restaurant, La Baita, located on the ski slopes of Aspen. After a few years they opened L'hostaria to rave reviews in the center core of Aspen. L’Hostaria continues to pack in crowds to this day, appealing to discerning diners who crave the authentic and celebrate the details. In 1998 they teamed up with Corrado Fasano (who brings eighteen years of experience throughout Italy at such restaurants as the Jolly Hotel in Turin and the Club Hotel in Saldiña.) and chef Anthony Justice (previously at L’Hostaria) to bring their inventive, inspired Italian cuisine to the Front Range, opening Bacaro in Boulder.
