Don’t spend the entire event talking to just one or two people. You’re there to meet as many people as you can, so as a general rule, don’t spend more than about ten minutes with any one person.
When talking to someone you’ve just met, asking questions is more important than telling information.
If you’re going to figure out how you can help someone, or how they can
help you, you need to know more about them. You already know all about
you.
